Audrey's 12th birthday party

It seems I don't get on here too often. Thought I'd post Audrey's birthday photo's here instead of on Flickr. She invited a few of her close friends to come swim and have cake & ice-cream. It was for sure hot enough out! I can't hardly believe how big she ... she is so beautiful ... anyway ... just wanted to share ... {{huggs}} to all ~

Egg'mazing Egg Hunt

Since Jen had to work, Neil brought Emma to the Jr. High where we had our annual Egg'mazing Hunt. We had 12,000 plastic eggs filled with candy donated by the people of our church. Due to space, we were able to 'reserve' the use of the fields at the Jr. High School and once again had a huge turnout. This was Audrey's last year to get to go thru. and collect eggs. I couldn't be in both places at once, so she gave me permission to take pic's of Emma ... such a big hearted girl she is! I hope everyone has had a most wonderful Easter Sunday ... now off I go to check on my ham!

My 55th Birthday!

I'll try to keep this short. The 6th, Wednesday, was my 55th birthday Birthday cake and I got a most wonderful surprise! My husband came home early and coaxed me to stand at the closed front door, telling me to come out and see my 'present' Gift with a bow only when he'd call me to open the door and come out ... I waited there a minute, he called me to come out ... I opened the front door and looked to the middle of the yard where my son Tony, his wife Susan and the kids, Charlie and Megan, were standing.

Honestly, I believe I 'squealed' Surprised  in delight and I don't remember my feet hitting the steps down to the yard to hugg them! I had not seen them since July of 2001 and Meagan was just a baby. They got to stay til Sunday. It was a most wonderful visit! It was good having all three of my kids with all their children here Saturday and the weather was perfect for grilling outside being 72 degrees. Tony's Grandparents, Kathy and CW Walden came over as well. All in all, a good day God blessed me with! Open-mouthed

Tony called once they got back safely 'home'. I told him that he took something he wasn't supposed to take. He says, "I did? Really ... what?", sounding confused. I said, "You took a piece of my Red heartheart, cuz now there's an empty spot in there ..." He quietly said, 'oh mom'...  So, I said, "Well, you'll have to put it back when we come see you in July!" ... gosh I love him ...

It was good to spend time together ... to SEE them and touch them and hugg and laugh ....   *sigh*

About the Party & Halloween Album 2007

I thought I'd fill you in on the pictures in the new album. The first are of the kids at Chuckie Cheese and the next are of their birthday party/barbeque at Jen's apartment. The day of this bbq was a week after they'd had the fun party at the Chuckie Cheese in Santa Maria with other friends and family and lots of cake.

The day of this party was also the day that Emma had been complaining that morning of her arm hurting and not wanting to move it or even have anyone touch it. She screamed and cried while I was putting the 'sling' on just to kind of protect her arm somewhat and she actually did better after I'd put it on! She played more and just seemed happier. The next day Jennifer took her to the Dr. and it turned out that her elbow was fractured. The only thing we can think that could have happened was that she'd tripped over one of the toys on the floor in her room, falling and hitting her elbow on the edge of the TV stand. Regardless, she got a hot pink cast and got it off on Halloween day!

I didn't get a picture of Audrey in her outfit but Jimmy sent me a picture of him in his at his work and he won 1st prize for the second year in a row. Kody had a blast in his cow costume and at the Harvest Festival, that our church puts on, he had his picture taken by lots of people plus all the little kids wanted to talk to him. Kody loved all the attention! The costume is fully inflated by it's own battery ran air pump and has elastic on the ankles and on his wrists. There are zippers at the wrists that you can unzip and put your hands out, which is what he did to play many of the games at the Festival.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the pictures and will post more again, probably after Christmas.  {{huggs}} Wink

Emma & Landen Sept. '07

Oh how I do just LOVE these two babies! In just 12 days on the 24th, Landen will be one whole year old. He is jabberin and now is walking more and more all the time. He will lay real still in your lap when you lift his shirt and gently brush your fingertips across his belly and sides. His mouth will be open but yet a hint of a smile is there and his eyes will dart about and an eyebrow will go up and he'll try so hard not to move! And he likes having his head rubbed gently... almost like that is 'comforting' to him. Just too, too adorable!

After Landen turns one, then just three days later on the 27th, Emma will be three. Three! Wow... it's going so fast! She talks all the time now and is easily understood. But she has her own lil style of words like most three year olds do. She says, " Hey, Gramma." I say, "What Emma." She says, "... ohhhhh nuss-sing." I'll laugh and then a minute later... "hey Gramma" ... I say, "What Emma." She says, "... ohhhhh nuss-sing." Ha! She has quite the personality! Jennifer told me when she saw they were pulling up to the house that she said was all happy and saying, "yeaaa! Gramma's! She's so nice!" What a remarkably bright child, eh? Open-mouthed

I hope you enjoy the little update. All for now ... {{huggs}}
